| General principles:

The Civil Action
Committees (SAWAED) is an independent civil institution that is not
linked with any political or factional affiliations.

SAWAED opens its
door for all citizens regardless of their ideological, political or
factional affiliation provided that they commit to SAWAED systems,
principles and programs and to be ready for effective participation
in order to circulate SAWAED principles and realize its program.
·
Membership in
SAWAED is based on individual desire and on an act of free choice.
Work in favor of SAWAED is voluntary.
·
All SAWAED
members are equal in terms of rights and duties.
·
SAWAED seeks to
develop a framework of civil work on the basis of elections and
collective leadership.
·
SAWAED resorts
to democratic principles and collective participation to make
decisions and judgments concerning its internal relationships.
·
Financial and
administrative independence and resorting to Palestinian people's
interests are principles that could not be compromised.
·
SAWAED is not an
alternative to any other civil work cadre.
·
SAWAED seeks to
form an alliance to gain support for its principles and programs in
favor of the Palestinian society and the Palestinian cause.
·
SAWAED's
relationship with Palestinian political, civil and social forces is
determined in conformity with SAWAED's programs and principles.
·
SAWAED considers
itself a part of the Palestinian National Movement committed to
national objectives and to the minimum extent of national rights
represented in Right of Return, self-determination and the
independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
·
SAWAED seeks to
enhance and gain popular and official Arab, regional and
international solidarity.
